Tate Labs – maker of the popular Bar Fly series of off-the-handlebar mounts for Garmin and CatEye computers – has announced a new Universal Mount that can hold an iPhone or other smartphone, a GPS computer, a GoPro-style video camera or a light.

The US$20/£13 mount doesn't include specific mounting hardware for any of these items, but offers 50mm of additional real estate on which to clamp an accessory mount or two.

The Universal Mount has a few small slots on the round mounting surface, to stabilize zip ties.

The Universal Mount is available now through many outlets in the US, and should be available in the UK through Evans Cycles or Wiggle.

BikeRadar recently gave the Bar Fly 2.0 Garmin mount a rare 5-star review.
