Specialized today announced an expanded Limited Edition program, where the company will produce between 200 and 400 frames or complete bikes with special graphics and some with one-off component builds, and each one will be numbered. The program will ultimately include 16 models, with up to three Limited Editions being released each month between May and the end of the year.
Specialized has done some LE bikes in the past, such as a Stumpjumper FSR Carbon EVO Troy Lee Designs model last year and a pink Zdenek Stybar Crux.
This year, upcoming designs include an S-Works Tarmac Nibali and an S-Works Amira Specialized Lululemon design. Each one will be numbered in series. Specialized will make 300 Nibali frames, sizes 49-61cm, and 170 Specialized-Lululemon frames, sizes 44-57cm.
