Track cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy will be a big name guest at the fourth Scottish Bike Show.

The six-time Olympic gold medallist confirmed he will attend the show, which is to be held on 5 to 6 April at the Glasgow velodrome named after him

Hoy will also be showing off his full range of Hoy Bikes that were released last year. Organisers say they have almost reached the maximum number of exhibitors who already include Pinarello, Dolan, Planet X and Continental.

Show founder, Rowan Mackie said he believed it would be the strongest Scottish Bike Show to date. He added: "We're nearly full to capacity and if the show was to take place tomorrow we would be ready. The list of exhibitors is already superb and there are a few more to confirm over the next month.”

Hoy, who will be on the Velodrome floor on Saturday 5 April, said: “It’s great to see the Scottish Bike Show back and even bigger than last year.

“I’m excited to be there with my new range of Hoy bikes and, although slightly biased, hope everyone likes them as much as I do.”

Full details of the show can be found at the Scottish Bike Show website.
