Showers Pass is releasing three new, ultra-durable bags. The new Cloudcover line up includes the Transit, Utility and Refuge. All three are waterproof and built to withstand serious use.

Urban riders take note

Showers Pass Transit backpack holds 42l and is built for work commutes and the urban environment - Showers Pass

The Showers Pass Transit backpack comes loaded with standard and not-so-standard features, and this 40-litre pack looks tough because it likely is. Thanks to ballistic strength nylon, strong welds and anodized aluminum hardware, it's built to withstand the hard life of a well-used pack.

It'll haul a 17-inch laptop as well as a 10-inch tablet, and the waist strap can either be buckled out of the way or worn separately. Even loading and unloading is simple as the bag stands on it own.

  • 100% waterproof, fully welded construction with a single-side TPU coating
  • 3-D mesh spacer back panels wick moisture, dries quickly and allows air circulation
  • 840 denier, 100% ballistic nylon is durable
  • Adjustable waist strap buckles: out of the way or can be removed and worn alone as a hip pack
  • 3M reflective trim, which is visible from all angles
  • Adjustable Velcro side straps that can hold a U-Lock or larger items
  • Front pocket with side zippers and stretchy mesh gusset, which is designed to hold a helmet when not in use
  • Sternum strap clip, which is adjustable and can be removed completely
  • Self-supporting backpack that won’t fall over when packing/unpacking
  • Includes four red LED beacon lights
  • Fleece lined laptop compartment that fits up to 17” notebook and is designed not to touch the ground when the backpack is dropped
  • Fleece lined iPad compartment that fits up to 10” tablet
  • Four nylon compartments with elastic openings to fit water bottles and other essentials
  • Fleece lined media pocket inside backpack with anodized aluminum key fob

Utility is the goal

The waterproof Utility pack looks ready to live up to its name with 840-denier ballastic nylon and a 26.8-litre capacity. Although smaller than the Transit pack, the Utility can still hold a 15-inch laptop as well as a 10-inch tablet, plus a bunch of other gear including a hydration reservoir.

In addition to the 3M reflective accents, four removable LED beacon lights flash for up to 200 hours on CR2032 batteries.

The Utility backpack is smaller. It weighs 3.4lbs and can swallow up to 26.8l worth of gear - Showers Pass
