Quietly announced at its Australian showcase, Scott has teased their latest roadie the Addict Disc. Not to be confused with the Addict Gravel Disc launched last year at Eurobike, the new Addict Disc sees a more aggressive prowess.

Designed to closely mirror the race ready Addict, Scott hasn’t just bolted discs onto the standard rim braked version. Instead they tell us the new frame has been redesigned nearly from the ground up in an effort to maintain its low weight and snappy character, although claimed weights for the complete bikes are yet to be announced.
The new frame and fork on the flagship Addict Premium Disc Di2 are made from Scott’s high-end HMX carbon fibre and are claimed to weigh 1305g/2.8lb — 60g/0.13lb more than the rim brake version. The lower models see the second tier HMF carbon fibre.

Designed around Shimano's flat mount disc brakes, the new frame sees the seat stays increase in diameter as they form into the dropouts — in an effort to withstand the asymmetric braking force from the disc. The seatstay bridge has also been removed, which should allow some additional flex and more vertical compliance (comfort). Scott also tells us the rear triangle can now handle up to a 28c tyre.
The chainstays have been lengthened from 405mm on the rim brake Addict to 410mm on the disc version to “improve shifting quality of Shimano drivetrains.”
At the front, the fork has also received a redesign to better handle the asymmetrical braking force from the disc, and offers internal routing for the brake hose. Like the rear triangle, Scott says the fork will also accommodate 28c rubber.
Keeping with industry trends, the Addict disc features front and rear thru-axles, 100x12mm at the front and 142x12mm at the rear, and the full range sees hydraulic brakes and 160mm rotors front and rear.

Addict Premium Disc Di2
Occupying the flagship spot is the Addict Premium Disc Di2. Here we see Scott’s premium HMX carbon frame, a full Dura-Ace Di2 9150 drivetrain, hydraulic flat mount brakes, 160mm rotors, Syncros carbon wheels and finishing kit.
It’s hard to tell from the photos, but the frame is gloss black with chrome silver accents — Scott tells us the photos don’t do it justice.
Addict 20 Disc
Next is the Addict 20 Disc, which gets the second tier HMF carbon frame and fork, a full Ultegra mechanical drivetrain, Shimano flat mount hydraulic disc brakes, 160mm rotors, and Syncros alloy wheels and finishing kit.
Addict 30 Disc
The most budget friendly of the new bikes is the 105 clad Addict 30 Disc. With a murdered out matt black paint job the bike gets a full Shimano 105 drivetrain, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, 160mm rotors, Syncros Road Disc wheels and alloy Syncros finishing kit.
