British rider Katy Curd has been flying the flag for German direct-sales specialists Rose on the World Cup circuit for the past couple of years, racking up some top results in both downhill and four-cross, including five podium places.
For 2012 she's joining the new Rose Vaujany squad, headed by Dutch four-cross legend Joost 'the Boost' Wichman. Also on the team, named after the French resort that's one of its main sponsors, are Belgian downhiller Nico Vink – known for his super-loose style – and top German four-cross racer Petrik Brueckner.
They'll be using the Rose Beef Cake for downhill duties – you can read our review of the 2011 freeride version here – the Uncle Jimbo for gravity enduro and a custom-made bike for four-cross, and will be competing in the UCI World Cup series, the new 4X Pro Tour, the iXS Downhill Cups and the Megavalanche (which entries opened for yesterday).
