The Ridgeback Errand is an electric bike equipped for commuting with 20in wheels, built-in lights and a frame-mounted front rack.
The Errand is powered by a Promovec hub drive system, which delivers 54Nm of torque. The drive system settings can be adjusted in the Promovec smartphone app.
The 375Wh Promovec battery sits on the down tube and also runs the integrated AXA front and rear lights.
The battery range and the bike's weight were not available at the time of writing.
The Errand has an eight-speed Microshift drivetrain comprising a single 44t Prowheel chainring, 170mm crank and Sunrace CSM55 11-32 eight-speed cassette.
Clarks supplies the Clout-1 hydraulic discs and brake levers.
Ridgeback specs the Errand with Mach1 650 28h wheels and 20x2in Schwalbe Big Apple tyres.
Billed as the “ultimate utility bike for urban riding”, the Ridgeback Errand comes with mudguards, a mainstay of the best bikes for commuting.
Rear mounts will allow you to fit another rack to carry panniers if you cycle to work.
Despite not being a folding bike, with wheels that can be as small as 16in, Ridgeback says the Errand has 20in wheels for “maximum manoeuvrability”.
Ridgeback claims the Errand’s single frame size fits riders from 5ft 4in to 6ft 4in tall. The 90mm stem is said to be adjustable, while the alloy frame's wheelbase is 1,150mm, according to Ridgeback.
The Ridgeback Errand is available in blue, black and red colour schemes and costs £1,799.99. International pricing was not available at the time of writing.
