The new Rapha Outskirts collection encompasses a range of new product categories previously unseen from the brand including, of all things, a silk wind shirt designed for riding in hot climates.
Developed in collaboration with Lachlan and Angus Morton — of EF Education First and generally ridiculous long-distance adventuring fame — the collection is inspired by the pair’s latest adventures around Vietnam.
The full lineup encompasses a load of new products, but here are our three highlights from the Rapha Outskirts collection .
Rapha Outskirts Technical Reflective Patch Jacket
The Outskirts Technical Reflective Patch Jacket is a cotton twill jacket that is covered with reflective embroidered patches. These patches are inspired by the tour the Morton’s undertook through Vietnam.
The jacket has a ‘trucker-style’ fit, though the armholes have been positioned higher than a regular jacket to ease movement on the bike.
Large pockets for stashing Instagram accessories and an adjustable hem complete the jacket.

Rapha Outskirts Tie Dye Wind Jacket
A tie-dyed silk wind jacket was the last thing we ever expected to see Rapha produce.
Said to provide the perfect balance between “comfort and protection in the humidity of Vietnam”, this super-light jacket is designed explicitly for riding in hot conditions. That said, we think it’ll also double up nicely as a suitably snazzy number for sipping a (low calorie) negroni on a (windy) balcony.
An “adaptive dyeing process” is used to create a totally unique pattern on each jacket. A corded collar, dropped shoulder, side pockets and reflective details are used to make the jacket more suitable for cycling.
- £180 / €215 / $250 / AU$315
Rapha Outskirts Core Cargo Bibs
Rapha’s cargo bib shorts — which have been in its line for some time now — feature mesh pockets on the outside of each leg to provide another spot to stash away items on long-distance rides.
The limited-edition Outskirt Collection version of the shorts borrow the same tie-dyed accents for its straps as seen on the rest of the lineup.
- £145 / €175 / $195 / AU$255
The full Rapha Outskirts range can be seen on the Rapha website, where you can also watch the latest episode of Rapha’s Outskirts series, which is genuinely worth a watch.
