Raleigh have unveiled their 2011 road team which has a decidedly international flavour, with new signings from North America, France and the Netherlands joining a strong UK line-up.
The Nottingham-based bike makers revealed their global ambitions back in 2009. After a successful debut by the Pro Continental Team Raleigh squad last year, they've now received additional investment from their sister companies in America and Canada to expand the roster.
Established faces Richard Handley, Dan Fleeman and Liam Holohan have been joined by fellow Brits Matt Jones, Matt Cronshaw, Matt Kipling and Matt Gee. US riders Phil Mooney and Ryan Parnes are also on board, along with Canada's Jamie Sparling, France's Gaël Le Bellec and Dutchman Jeroen Janssen.
The 12-man team will ride a newly developed Raleigh America carbon road frameset and will compete overseas as well as in the UK. They'll be led by Cherie Pridham and Eddie White, who said: "We’ve put together a team that will be the envy of the cycling world."
