Danish mountain bike makers Pronghorn are developing their first 29er. At this stage, details are scant – we don't even know if this photo is accurate, because it first surfaced online over a year ago.

However, if a new illustration of the frame posted on Pronghorn's Facebook page (the company are running a competition to design the graphics) is anything to go by, the production bike won't differ too radically.

Due to be launched at the Eurobike trade show in September, it looks set to use the same ‘shock over top tube’ APLS (Anti Power Loss System) suspension design as the rest of Pronghorn's range. According to Jason Richardson of the Columbia Bikefood team, frame weight is just 50g more than the 26in-wheeled PR6-XC.
