Pearl Izumi is set to open a factory outlet store in Portsmouth. Opening on 1 November, the 1,470 sq ft store will be based in Gunwharf Quays, and is the fifth of its kind that the brand has opened in Europe.
As well as showcasing Pearl Izumi's cycling, running and triathlon kit, the new store will support the company’s existing network of dealers, by offering the possibility of returning excess stock at the end of the season.
Lieven Muylaert, project manager Pearl Izumi factory stores, said: “[This is] a great next step in the development of the brand recognition in Europe. Seeing the traffic during my visits at Gunwharf, we are confident that this is the right spot.”
Pearl Izumi was purchased by transmission giants Shimano in 2008.
