A new front mudguard called the Fast Fender from legendary mudguard makers Crud Catcher will be released at BikeRadar Live.

The slimline motocross-inspired fender has been designed to catch that annoying spray that creeps out under your fork crown at speed.

Unlike other designs that have used steerer tube fittings and had various compatibility issues, the Fast Fender is handlebar-mounted and also allows direct fitting of a race number plate.

Crud Catchers have become the off-road mudguard of choice after Pete Tomkins designed the original one in 1991. Steve Peat has been using one for 15 years and had a hand in designing the new Fast Fender along with 'Son of Crud’ Jamie Tomkins.

Up until last weekend production was six weeks away, but Jamie and Pete couldn't miss the opportunity to release it at BikeRadar Live - so their tool makers are flat out getting them made.
