Former downhill world champion Steve Peat and UK cross-country legend Nick Craig will call in at Stif in North Yorkshire next Saturday (12 February) to help the pioneering bike shop celebrate its first anniversary at its new home.
The store – which was was the original UK importer for many top US mountain bike brands, including Paul Components, Grafton, Camelbak and Santa Cruz – moved to Summerbridge, near Harrogate, last year after 25 years in Headingley, Leeds.
'Peaty' officially opened the new demo centre and he'll be back, along with Craig, to chat to customers and offer advice. They'll also be joining some of the short guided demo rides that will take place throughout the day.
Bikes will be available from Orange, Scott, Santa Cruz, Yeti, Cube and Pace, and the latest products from Fox Racing Shox and clothing from Fox, Endura and Altura will also be on display.
Stif's Paul Morphet told us: "If that's not enough, then maybe the Fox Racing trials team will interest you, with some displays of extraordinary bike skills. All that and free coffee cakes and chilli throughout the day, plus special offers, giveaways and generally a good time – look forward to seeing you there!"
