On Friday Limar released its new Velov helmet that features removable panels on the top, sides and rear.
While very little information was released, the helmet appears to be aimed at the urban riding crowd, who could use the panels for warmth and protection against the elements in cold weather and remove them for the summer.
Velov uses Limar's Ultrafit securing system
Weight is a claimed 300g, which is fairly competitive for a city helmet. The helmet without panels weighs a claimed 280g.
Two sizes will be available: medium (52-57 cm) and large (57-62 cm). Retail is US$95.
Velov uses Limar's Ultrafit securing system with height adjustment and antibacterial pads. The Velov comes in black with blue, yellow or white panels, or in white with gray or tan panels.
