BikeRadar has teamed up with Komoot to present a series of webinars to help you plan the perfect ride. (Update 12 May: the final webinar for multi-day route planning is today – sign-up using this link)
Komoot is a route planning and navigation app that puts adventure and exploration at the forefront. The app contains rider recommendations to help you find those hidden gems that you might otherwise have missed out on.
Komoot x BikeRadar webinar schedule
- Friday 24 April, 12pm BST – How to plan the perfect gravel riding route
- Tuesday 28 April, 7pm BST – How to plan the perfect road route
- Tuesday 12 May, 3pm BST – How to plan the perfect multi-day route
The webinars are free and will be hosted on Zoom – just sign-up using one of the links above or via Komoot's Eventbrite page.
The Komoot x BikeRadar webinar series will help you plan the ideal route, regardless of whether you’re a road rider, gravel rider or planning a multi-day trip (once coronavirus restrictions are lifted, of course).
These webinars will help you get the most out of Komoot’s route planner, with tricks and shortcuts to find the best riding spots. You’ll also learn how to tap into local recommendations, view in-depth surface information and find other riders in your area.
Komoot’s algorithm prioritises the type of roads and trails you prefer to ride on, while the route planner contains topographical information, route length, elevation and predicted time, as well as integrations with Garmin and Wahoo computers.
During the webinars, you’ll also have the chance to ask questions to the hosts from Komoot and BikeRadar.

Komoot Campfires
Komoot has also joined forces with our sister magazines, MBUK and Cycling Plus, for the Komoot Campfires series.
There’s nothing quite like kicking back around a campfire and swapping stories about past adventures and bucket-list rides. The Komoot Campfires are live-streamed events with Komoot ambassadors, who will share their future plans, favourite routes and most memorable adventures.
The first event on 14 May will feature Scotty Laughland, whose ambition is to ride the best trails in the world and film them to share.
You’ll be able to watch Scotty’s latest adventure film – featuring a trip to Jamaica – followed by a Q&A, where you can ask him anything from how he makes his films to where you can find the best singletrack in Scotland.
The second event on 26 May, in association with Cycling Plus, will see Jenny Tough talk about all things bikepacking and adventure, followed by a Q&A.
