Sydney's Allphones Arena has teamed up with Brisbane-based Paint My Bike to present pop singer Katy Perry with a custom-painted Avanti Inc 2 flat bar road bike. The American star is coming to the end of the Australian leg of her Prismatic World Tour, and the bike is a celebration of her breaking not only the Allphones Arena’s ticket sales record, but also the longest run of shows for a solo artist at the venue.
Gary McDonald from Paint My Bike told BikeRadar: “Katy is an avid cyclist, and they came up with the idea of getting a bike and having it custom painted for her. She rides to venues in the US when on tour, giving out free tickets along the way.”

According to the All Phones Arena, the bike design draws inspiration from the Prismatic World Tour, as well as some of the artist’s earlier work.
Perry recently caused a stir while on a ride in Perth, Australia, because she was not wearing a helmet. Paint My Bike also made up a custom Bell Faction helmet for her.

Unfortunately we were unable to get tickets to any of her shows, but we think Ms Perry scored a pretty awesome ride.
