Here's a closer look at Giro's Havik 2 glasses which we previewed at this year's 2009 Interbike trade show.
The Havik 2 glasses were worn to victory by Tour de France winner Alberto Contador in 2009, and the changes developed with Contador’s input have now been applied to the models available to us mere mortals.
Changes that have been made are minimal rather than major overhaul, and include a more comfortable fit to suit a greater range of head sizes and pressure at the temples has been reduced by altering the shape of the arms.
The amount of material used at the brow area has been reduced to reduce fogging, and a new range of frame colours and Zeiss lens tints are available too.
Havik 2’s will be available in the UK around February 2010 with prices starting between £119.99 - £179.99srp for the packaged dual lens set.
