This Saturday in Southampton, Massachusetts, Jelly Belly professional Jeremy Powers and his friends will be hosting the third annual Wheelhouse Sports Grand Fundo, a fundraiser for the JAM Fund that supports upcoming cyclists in the area.

The $85 Grand Fundo is a 64-mile group ride in Pioneer Valley, featuring scenic vistas, rolling climbs and 20 miles of dirt roads. Powers also added a $95 “Grand Hundo” which has, no, not 100, but 87 miles. (Hey, it’s a fundraiser, with the emphasis on fun, not semantics.)

All proceeds go to the JAM Fund, which this fall will likely support a team of young cyclocross racers, allowing them to contest some of the nation’s biggest races.

"The JAM Fund is something I have an extreme amount of passion for because of the support I had as a junior growing up," Powers said. "We're doing our best to really make a program that is here for the next 20 years and beyond through the Fundo. With JAM, our goal is to make a difference in the lives of enthusiastic young, up and coming riders and to do our part to keep American cycling going up!"

The JAM Fund will award $500 grants to selected applicants.

There’s more to the Grand Fundo than just the ride. There’s also a post-ride pig roast, barbeque, music, beer and a raffle, featuring one of Powers’ limited edition Team Rapha-Focus Focus Mares cyclocross bikes, valued at over $5,000. The raffle will also include prize packs from Giro, Rapha, Mad Alchemy and others.

Tickets and registration are available on BikeReg.com and on site.
