GoPro App boosts HERO2 and HERO3 camera functionality

Control your GoPro action camera via your iOS or Android smartphone

GoPro have introduced a revised app to boost the functionality of their HERO2 and HERO3 action cameras. When used with the GoPro helmet mount popular among cyclists – particularly mountain bikers – the new iOS and Android software should make it easier and more intuitive to control the GoPro HD HERO2 and HERO3 action cameras from your smartphone.

GoPro claim the new app tweaks allow users to take full remote control of camera functions, making it easier to take stills or start recording. When the action’s over, the app also prompts you to transfer content wirelessly to your phone or tablet, and – of course – share it via social media.
