A new version of the Giant Revolt gravel bike has been leaked on a number of cycling retailer websites.
Called the Giant Revolt X, the bike looks to have been reshaped for even more aggressive terrain with the addition of a front gravel suspension fork.
First reported by BikeRumour, the suspension-equipped bike has been spotted on a number of retailers' websites. The pages reveal the bike features 40mm RockShox and Fox suspension forks and wide SRAM 1x drivetrains.
The gravel bike still features the flip-chip dropout, which enables you to change its wheelbase and fit beefier 52mm gravel bike tyres.
While the bike has yet to be seen in other markets, we can assume it will be released elsewhere this year.
What we know about the Giant Revolt X
Descriptions for the bike say the Revolt X’s frame has been reinforced and adapted to handle the 40mm of fork travel.
New geometry looks set to give the bike more ability on gnarlier trails, as well as better descending characteristics.
Compared to its rigid-frame counterpart, there's a significant reduction in bottom bracket drop from 80mm to 68mm. This will help accommodate the articulation of the front fork.
The head tube angle remains similar to the rigid-frame Giant Revolt at 71.5 degrees for a medium-sized frame.
It looks as though the bike will be available in sizes from XS to XL, unlike the rigid-fork Giant Revolt Advanced Pro, which only ranges from S to L.
The front derailleur mount has been ditched, possibly showing a move away from 2x drivetrains on Giant’s gravel bikes. So far, the bike has only been spotted with a SRAM 1x Wide drivetrain.
This leaked version of the Giant Revolt has the brand’s adaptable seat tube collar. This gives you the option of using the brand's D-fuse compliant seatpost or any 30.9mm-wide seatpost.
The Revolt X appears to come with a dropper post as standard, which should provide more room for you to manoeuvre your body weight to help take on more demanding terrain.

The Revolt X Advanced Pro 0 appears to be the top-spec model of the Revolt X. It features a Fox 32 Float AX Elite fork and SRAM’s Force eTap AXS wireless groupset with a mountain-bike derived X01 Eagle AXS derailleur.
Giant’s carbon CXR 1 wheelset is fitted with Maxxis Rambler rubber. The bike also features a Giant Contact Switch dropper post and Contact SL XR D-Fuse handlebar.

Giant Revolt X Advanced Pro 2
The Revolt X Advanced Pro 2 is a more affordable build sharing the same frame as the Revolt X Advanced Pro 0.
The bike features a RockShox Rudy XPLR and SRAM’s Rival 1 12-speed mechanical groupset. It uses the same wheelset and tyres as the top-end model, as well as featuring the same dropper post and handlebar.
