Garmin's new multisport watch, the Forerunner 735XT, features 24/7 heart rate monitoring and activity-specific data for cycling, running, swimming, multisport, hiking, cross-country skiing, strength training, paddle sports and cardio. Featuring wrist-based heart-rate monitor, the $449 / £359 watch has soft silicone bands with a large display.

Connect IQ compatible, the Forerunner 735XT is the first device to come with the Strava Live Suffer Score app pre-installed so you can track how hard you have been working based on heart rate data. Elevate wrist heart rate monitoring means no chest strap, and 24/7 information

With so-called Elevate wrist heart rate technology, the Forerunner 735XT offers 24/7 heart rate monitoring without the need for a chest strap. For advanced running dynamics and other detailed measurements, users can add a chest strap during training and receive data including stride length, ground contact time balance, vertical ratio and more.

The Forerunner 735XT also pairs with ANT+ power meters, including of course Garmin's own Vector pedal-based system.
