Italian wheel manufacturer Fulcrum are introducing a new Racing Speed carbon road wheel for 2010.
Based on the company’s pro-level Racing Speed XLR (£2,399.99 per pair), the Racing Speeds have been created as an affordable £1699,99 alternative to the high-end XLR. The Racing Speed wheels use oversize aluminium hubs for optimal power transfer and Fulcrum’s anti-rolling spoke system.
An integrated balancing system in the rim helps stability, and the Two-to-One™ spoking system is supposed to ensure a consistently fast and precise response when you put the pedal to the metal.
Fulcrum’s aluminium Racing Zero range gets a revamp for 2010 on all three versions – 2-Way Fit (£999,99), clincher and tubular (£949,99) – mainly with the introduction of USB ceramic bearings – which are smoother and longer lasting than the current offerings.

The new model clincher and tubular Racing Zeros have updated front and rear profiles (26 and 30mm in height, respectively), for increased aerodynamics and transmission of power. They also get lighter aluminium aero spokes.
