The Fly6 combination HD camera and rear light, a true Kickstarter success story, will now be available exclusively through Wiggle for those living in the UK, certain parts of Europe (exact countries TBA), Japan, Ireland and New Zealand.
By using a direct online retailer as well as making refinements in the manufacturing process, Cycliq has been able to drop the Fly6’s price from £179 to £99 – so it's now priced on a par with the budget GoPro Hero.
Residents of the United States should expect to pay US$169 (was US$269) for the Fly6, which is now distributed by both Trek Bicycles and Cyclone Bicycle Supply to dealers nationwide. REI and Cycliq.com will offer online sales.
Australian cyclists, meanwhile, will be pleased to know the Fly6 is now available for AU$199, down from AU$275. The Fly6 is available within many bike stores, with Jet Black Products taking care of distribution. It can also be bought online through Cycliq’s webstore.
The ‘new’ Fly6 had improved on the original in just about every aspect; however, we weren’t too pleased with the significant jump in price. With this subsequent drop in cost, we’ve decided to change our recent review of the ‘new’ Fly6 up to a well-deserved 4.5/5.
Fly6 is a product of Australian-based Cycliq, a company that launched off the back of its initial crowd funding success. Since its launch just over a year ago, the Fly6 is in its second generation and is soon to be joined by a matching front ‘Fly12’ which received over 1,700 backers during its Kickstarter campaign.
