Cube have updated their Litening Super HPC and Agree GTC framesets for 2012. Unveiled amid bold claims of it being the German's company fastest bike ever, the Litening Super HTC has had 150g shaved off its frame and now weighs in at a claimed 860g.
They’ve achieved this by replacing all the aluminuim parts – it now has carbon dropouts and bottom bracket – as well as flattening the top tube and thinning the seatstays. Ceramic headset bearings and an all-new, 320g CSL Evo carbon fork also contribute to the frameset's 1,180g weight.
The new Litening Super HPC is compatible with Shimano's new Ultegra Di2 electronic groupset and available in four builds – Pro, Race, SL and SLT – with pricing and full specs to be unveiled at the Eurobike show next week.
Ultegra Di2 also makes an appearance on the updated Agree GTC. The range topping GTC Di2 is a direct descendant of the Litening, but comfort-orientated features make it geared for longer stays in the saddle. Features include a tapered head tube and new CSL Evo fork (Di2 and SL models only).
Again, prices and specs for the five models (Di2, SL, SLT, Pro and Race) will be unveiled at Eurobike. It'll be November before either bike is available to buy. Visit the Cube website for more information.
