Cervélo might still have three major announcements waiting in the wings, but there's plenty to like in its 2019 range. With some great, more affordable additions to the P, C and R series bikes and some serious bling too, so there's more than enough to keep us going for now.

Cervélo C series
The C series, with its highly compliant frame and all-road potential was — along with GT’s Grade — a little ahead of the gravel curve. The downside to the C series, however, was that both the C3 and C5 were expensive.
Well, for 2019 Cervélo has introduced the C2, priced at £2,399.
It shares the same frame design as the more expensive 3 Series, but comes with new Shimano 105 (7020 series) and RS170 disc wheels. Meanwhile, Conti 28mm tyres and Easton EA50 components finish what looks like a well-priced package.
It's also a thumbs-up for the navy blue and red colour scheme. Thankfully, Cervélo has continued to step away from its traditional black/red colourways.
The C3 Ultegra Di2 at £4,159 takes things a step further with a wild matt/gloss metallic green. The contrasting orange/red panelling looks stunning and the build with DT Swiss wheels, Cervélo cockpit, Fi'zi:k saddle and Conti tyres (not to mention the Di2 drivetrain and Ultegra brakes), all add up to a slick package.
Cervélo R series
Cervélo reimagined the R5 and R3 last year with the R5 getting more racy and the 3 becoming more of a sportive rider’s rig.
For 2019, the R range has seen updates too, with the R2 moving to the latest 105. The R2 is a more affordable carbon frame based on the R3’s mould.
This means you will be able to get the sub-1,000g frame equipped with new 105 (7000) for £2,299, as well as Shimano RS10 wheels and Cervélo’s own alloy finishing kit.
The R3 comes in both disc and rim-brake versions and we loved the look of the flamboyant orange R3 Ultegra Di2 disc at £4,999. It comes with Cervélo’s aero sculpted lightweight alloy bar and stem, Novatec carbon disc wheels and, of course, Ultegra Di2 and hydraulic Ultegra disc brakes.
If you prefer a little more understated (and a little less pricey), then the standard Ultegra disc R3 comes in a cool-looking monochrome finish with matching DT Swiss wheels for £3,499.
Cervélo P series
Cervélo’s time-trial and triathlon line the P series has also had a few updates for 2019. The entry-level P2, at £2,499, gets a few choice upgrades from the previous model.
First, it gains the slick-looking new Shimano 105 7000 series, a new cockpit from Profile with the Wing 10a base bar and 35a Extensions, and armrests with Profile's Sonic clamp holding things together. At the rear, it’s a nose-less ISM PR 1.0 saddle.
The pricier £3,599 P3 gets new wheels from DT Swiss (P1800) and Shimano Ultegra, along with the same cockpit and saddle updates as the P2.
The latest range-topping super-tri machine — the P5X — looks the business, with a full Dura-Ace Di2 group, complete with Dura-Ace flat mount disc brakes, an Enve SES wheelset and a stunning new fluoro colourway, making it look every inch the superbike that it is.
If a Di2-equipped P5X isn’t quite bling enough for you, then how about the ultra-limited-edition automobile Lamborghini edition P5X, shown on display here at PON Bike, alongside an equally outrageous Lamborghini Aventador, both in Lamborghini yellow.
