All 120 places for the 2013 Cape Rouleur multi-stage sportive in South Africa have sold out, with organisers making 30 more available to meet demand.
Prices begin at £1024 for 4* accommodation in a twin room sharing with another rider and top out at £1877 for 5* luxury for a double room. Payment can be made up front or in three equal installments between October and December.
The cost covers entry to the event, four nights in your chosen hotel, breakfast, dinner at the presentation on the final evening, airport transfers and seeded entry to the Cape Argus sportive. It doesn’t include flights, evening meals, travel insurance or accommodation in Cape Town prior to the Cape Argus.
The Cape Rouleur will be in its first full year in 2013 after a trial run which BikeRadar participated in last March.
It will take place from 3-7 March and as well as three official stages in and around the event’s base in the town of Franshhoek, it includes an escorted ‘Festival Ride’ into the centre of Cape Town on the final day.
The event proper covers 475km of the spectacular rolling terrain of the Western Cape. Tour de France winner Stephen Roche and four-time Cape Epic winner Karl Platt have once again confirmed their participation.
It’s organised by events firm HotChillee and features the same format of their other events, London-Paris and The Alpine Challenge. This includes rolling road closures, timed race sections and extensive support crew and mechanics.
