Bianchi has released details of a special-edition Specialissima Giro105 frameset painted to celebrate the Giro d’Italia’s 105th edition, which takes place next year. The 105 framesets will be available for sale from 15 April 2022 and will cost €5,400.

Each frameset will be numbered from one to 105 on the top tube and will be delivered in “deluxe packaging” with unspecified "special extras” – details of which are due to be released in the coming weeks.

The latest-generation Bianchi Specialissima was released in October 2020 and boasts a claimed frame weight of 750g for a size 55cm frame. The fork adds a further 370g.

Compared to the previous-generation Specialissima, the new bike features a fully-integrated front end, more aero tube shapes and is only available with disc brakes.

The base of the Specialissima Giro105 frameset is white – or ‘Bianco Corsa’, if you prefer – with details painted in two “redolent hues”.

Panels on the inside of the fork legs, the inside face of the chainstays and the logo are painted in ‘Enrosadira’, a bronzy-pink colour that is said to represent the colour of light in the Dolomites at dawn or dusk.

The outside face of the fork features a design said to represent the Giro d'Italia’s distinctive coil-shaped trophy, the Trofeo Senza Fine (the Endless Trophy).

Bianchi promises owners of the Specialissima Giro105 will enter “an exclusive club of exacting cyclists and collectors who celebrate the sport” and that the added extras will allow “owners to step inside the pantheon of Italian cycling”.

The 105 framesets will go on sale in April 2022 and will only be available direct from Bianchi.
