This video was produced in collaboration with Basso.

BikeRadar caught up with Alessandro Basso, son of the company founder Alcide Basso, to find out what to expect from the Italian brand for 2017.

It’s a pretty special year for Basso, with 2017 marking forty years of production for the Italian firm. The new Diamante SV (Super-Veloce) is the first bike shown in this video, it's an all-new aero-optimised version of the company's flagship Diamante road bike. Along with plenty of slippery sculpting, its 820g carbon frame features an innovative, integrated seat clamp that works to absorb road vibrations.

Also new for 2017 is Basso’s Purple Label women’s line with its Venta and Diamante models along with a special edition version of the Diamante, which features graphics similar to those used by the company’s MAAP amateur race team.
