Alberto Contador, winner of the 2009 Tour de France, will meet fans at the Cycle Show in London this weekend in a rare visit to the UK.
The Spaniard, widely regarded as the best climbing specialist and stage racer in the world, will join sports nutrition company Science in Sport (SiS) at their stand on Friday (9 October).
It will be the Team Astana rider's first appearance in the UK since the Tour de France prologue in 2007. He will be on the SiS stand (E33) from 11.30am.
Contador, only the fifth racer in history to win all three Grand Tours (Giro d'Italia, Vuelta a Espana and Tour de France), said: "It's a great pleasure to be able to meet some of the many UK fans who support me, and also to thank Science in Sport, who are an integral part of my race preparation and performance."
Pete Slater from SiS said: "We have enjoyed a long history of working with elite cyclists since 1992, and Alberto is currently the best stage racer in the world so to be able to bring him to the UK is a great coup for us and cycling in general."
