Vertex Carbon 90

The Vertex Carbon 90 is crafted from Rocky Mountain's Smoothwall HBO carbon. According to Rocky Mountain, by using 40-ton carbon sheets, it's able to use less resin, which results in more durability with the ride characteristics it demands.

Leading the carbon frame is a RockShox SID RLC Remote fork with 100mm travel. Drivetrain duties are handled by SRAM's X01 Eagle, stopping is done by SRAM Level TLM discs, and motion is courtesy of Stan's Crest MK3 wheels wrapped in Schwalbe Racing Ralph 2.2in tires.

Rocky Mountain claims a 9.71kg / 21.4lbs weight for a Medium. Retail is $5,169, and UK and AU pricing is not yet available.

Slotting into the middle of the range is the Vertex Carbon 70. The suspension is controlled by a Fox 32 Step Cast with 100mm travel. The bike rolls a SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, Shimano XT discs and Sun Helix TR25 SL rims with Maxxis Ikon 2.2in tires.

Claimed weight for a Medium sits at 9.98kg / 22lbs and pricing is $3,399, and UK and AU pricing is not yet available.

Entry into the new Vertex line begins with the Carbon 50. Sharing the same Smoothwall carbon frame as the 70, it's fronted by a 100mm RockShox Reba RL fork.

Gearing is a cross-country friendly 2 x 11-speed Shimano SLX/XT affair. Shimano's SLX discs are on board and Sun Helix TR25 SL rims with Maxxis Ikon 2.2in tires comprise the rolling stock.

Rocky Mountain provides a Medium weight of 11.1kg / 24.5lbs. Retail for the Vertex Carbon 50 is $2,899, and UK and AU pricing is not yet available.

Have a bunch of sponsors to keep happy? Or more realistically if you're particular about your bikes, Rocky Mountain offers the Vertex frame.

Sharing the frame with the 90 above, it features Rocky Mountain's Smoothwall HBO carbon, Boost rear axle spacing, Di2 compatibility, and internal routing for the gearing, brakes and a dropper post.

According to the company, the frame alone tickles the scales at 1.22kg / 2.68lb and will set you back $1,599 (UK and AU pricing not yet available).

All of the Vertex bikes are available now from Rocky Mountain dealers. To learn more, check out Rocky Mountain's site with the best URL in the business.
