Yeti unveiled their new SB-95 29er at Eurobike last September. Essentially a bigger wheeled version of the US company's SB-66 alloy trail bike, the first production frames have now reached the UK.
The SB-95 offers 127mm (5in) of rear wheel travel courtesy of the same Switch Technology suspension design used on the 26in-wheeled bike, along with similarly low and slack geometry (68.5° head angle, 17.5in chainstays, 13.2mm bottom bracket height, with 120mm fork)
Frame features include a tapered inset head tube, guides for a dropper post remote, oversized pivots running on Enduro Max angular contact bearings, removable ISCG05 tabs (sold separately), Chip System dropouts that allow use of a quick-release or 142 x 12mm rear axle, and custom chain slap guards.
Pricing is set at £1,999/US$2,250 for the frameset, including Fox Float RP23 Kashima shock. The SB-95 is available in four sizes (S, M, L, XL) and two colourways – black with grey graphics or silver with turquoise. Claimed weight is 7.5lb (3.4kg).
Complete bikes will be available, too. In the UK there's just one option – a £4,395 Shimano Deore XT based build with DT SWISS 350/XR400 wheels and finishing kit from Easton and Thomson. The same bike will be available in the US for $4,500, along with $3,900 (SRAM X9/X7, DT SWISS 350/XR400 wheels, Truvativ cockpit kit) and $5,900 options (Shimano XTR, Easton and Thomson kit). All will come with 15mm-axle FOX F29 34 forks.
