De Rosa has just announced the launch of four new off-road bikes — the Big, Bigger, Sfida and OSA — which are the first ever dirt-oriented bikes from the Italian brand.
Stating its intentions from the outset, this new collection of bikes is named ‘Beyond the Road’ and shares a common, incredibly handsome Azzurro Elektra colour scheme.
The amusingly named Big and Bigger are De Rosa’a new mountain bikes and at first glance, look like pretty standard Euro-XC-marathon bikes, with the Big built around a colour-matched rigid fork and the Bigger, an RS1 that has had the same treatment.
As far as we can tell, the bikes are carbon, with the Big built around an XT 1x drivetrain and the Bigger XTR.
The Sfida is De Rosa’s new carbon gravel/’cross/radventure bike. Again, as far as we can tell from the supplied pictures, the bike is carbon and has quick release dropouts. That’s all we can offer for now alongside this half-finished geometry chart.
The range is rounded out by the OSA, which appears to be a steel or alloy adventure bike with a carbon fork, thru-axles and mudguard mounts. However, most importantly it has a colour matched pannier rack. What’s not to love?
We’d love to provide you more details about the bikes, but the 2018 catalogue and accompanying press release offer next to no hard details about the bikes, with half complete or entirely missing geometry charts.
We’ve contacted De Rosa and have sent our people on the ground at Eurobike 2017 to get more info on the bikes and we will update this article as soon as we have more info!
