Evans Cycles has slashed the price of the Pinnacle Laterite 3 road bike from £900 to £300.
We scored the Laterite 3 four stars when we reviewed it in 2021, making it one of the cheapest road bikes in the UK worth buying.
The price is only available to Frasers Plus customers – a buy now pay later finance product that enables you to take the bike home today and pay it off over three months interest-free.
Should you wish to buy the bike without signing up, the price is £600.
The slower spec Laterite 2, which we also rated four stars, is available for slightly less at £290. However, for a tenner more, the Laterite 3 looks like the better deal.
When we tested the Pinnacle Laterite 3, we were already impressed by its value for money, so this deal puts it into a different league.
Shimano's 9-speed Sora road bike groupset features. While slightly heavier than the Japanese brand's more expensive options, it still provides crisp shifting.
The frame is made from aluminium and the fork carbon fibre. The bike has generous clearances for tyres up to 30mm wide (28mm with mudguards).
We found this made the bike good for mixed surface riding, and could be an option for those looking to get into (very light) gravel riding on a budget.
The rear seatstays feature mounts for a bike rack opening up the possibilities of bike touring or commuting with pannier bags.
Over all, this current deal makes the Pinnacle Laterite 3 a no-brainer for anyone looking for an inexpensive commuter, road or touring bike.
