Wiggle has discounted its dhb C1.0 Crossover helmets from £40 to just £5.
Designed for mountain biking and commuting, the helmet has a removable peak and looks pretty good for a budget lid.
The weight is also about average for a budget helmet at 350g (claimed) for a size-medium helmet.
This is in the same ballpark as similarly priced helmets, such as the Giant Relay MIPS (348g) and Specialized Align II (374g).
While you don't get features such as MIPS, for a fiver, you can't really go wrong.
At the time of writing, 'grape leaf gloss' and 'stormy weather gloss' helmets are still available at the discounted price. The other colour options are either full-price or out-of-stock.
