Over £150 seems like a lot to pay for a turbo that doesn't feature adjustable resistance. What you do get, however, is a super sturdy frame, and hanging on it, an excellent roller mechanism. The fluid resistance unit is silky, and there's a big flywheel (with a cooling fan which adds considerably to the noise level) to smooth out the ride.
The resistance increases with speed to ensure that you get a really good workout, but you'll have to adopt a different riding strategy to an adjustable resistance trainer. The cam locking wheel mount is excellent, as is the large-levered cam for engaging the roller.
If you weren't sure enough of the build quality, there's a lifetime warranty and it certainly feels like a machine that'll last for a long time. It might not be for you if you like seeing lots of data, or replicating out-of-the-saddle climbs, but it's an excellent all round trainer for heavy use. You get a free TT training DVD worth £20 thrown in for good measure.
