Giant's comprehensive, cadence-ready cockpit display is a fully featured but expensive system. The wireless speed and cadence sensors are relatively bulky but the head unit can be bar or stem mounted and the setup menu is easy to navigate. The fairly large square-headed unit offers an equally generous screen for easy reading of the three-line display.
While it seems busy, having the altimeter, speed and cadence digits in fixed positions makes it easy to clock the essentials with a glance. The scrolling bottom menu then displays distance, temperature and time sub-data.
Low battery warnings and a backlight for nocturnal training are neat touches. The soft rubber buttons aren’t that positive though, so you’ll have to be patient when using with winter gloves. Pricing is relatively high for the features list too, but there’s a non-cadence Pro for £79.99.
