Pro DH looks and strength without the pro price. Heavy though

Seems like Mavic really is going for the high value, low price jugular this year. The Deetraks pairing are its budget DH/Freeride wheels. The rim's a 'broad enough to fatten up any tyre' and there's no trace of any deflection on landing or cornering.

The 32, 3-cross single butted spokes create a tough, tight, trouble free build. Standard nipples also make replacement easy as long as you can find straight pull spokes.

The real bonus at this price though, are the hubs. These are the same fat bodied, flanged units used on the legendary DeeMax wheels (£180 more) and are super stiff and robust. Just keep checking the front bearings, as they can die young. The rear hub is only available with a solid steel nutted axle too, which adds weight to the already hefty overall weight. If you're looking for fantastic looks and strength for a remarkably good price, these have to be on your shopping list.
