Mavic’s premium all-mountain wheel isn’t cheap, but it’s light, fast, tubeless-ready and strong as an ox. The steel bodied ITS-4 freehub and QRM bearings are the same as the CrossLine and have proved equally tough and weather resistant. The rapid pick-up of the freehub also accentuates the lightweight of the 24 fat alloy spokes and machined Maxtal alloy rim.
This makes for a fast and responsive wheel for aggressive trail or enduro race use. While the rims are narrow and pinch tyres over 2.3in, they’re tubeless ready as standard. We’ve not had any bend or warp problems despite constant rocky trail use, and the direct rim threaded spokes have also stayed tight and true.
