These 24-spoke semi-deep section clinchers have a curious third flange that claims to shelter the spokes and minimise drag but the heavier testers feel that it loses some lateral stiffness in the process.
Thankfully chain rub is not an issue as the spokes were very evenly tensioned through the wheel. It's far too early to know if the cartridge bearing hubs will hold up on these newly acquired wheels but they look well designed and we will report on this in future. The alloy nipples had been treated with locking agent to prevent loosening and they stayed true for longer than the other FSA wheels on test. As with the other FSA wheels on test there are Campagnolo and Shimano compatible versions available.
