Titanium seat post that can help smooth out the hardtail ride

We’ve been testing a few carbon models tuned to specifically deliver controlled rearward movement – the emerging seatpost trend for hardtail lovers. This all-titanium model delivers a similar feel.

Our 3Al-2.5V titanium 350mm, 30.9mm version feels like it’s tuning out some of the vibrations making their way up through the frame. Not flexing wildly, just a few millimetres, and without upsetting pedalling. None of this will surprise in-the-know titanium fetishists, well versed to the unique ride of the metal.

At 234g, it’s not dissimilar to many carbon models. Qoroz makes them in 27.2, 30.9 and 31.6mm diameters in 350 or 400mm lengths, and in custom measurements. Saddle adjustment is easier than on many other twin-bolt rocker heads thanks to canted 4mm bolts that allow easy Allen key access.

At £100 the Qoroz post is the cheapest titanium post on the market. So, who’s it for? Simple people like us who love riding hardtails but the passage of time has taken a toll on our ability to remain bent double on a frame that is trying to jackhammer our lower back.
