A tough and lightish option but only available up to 90mm

While FSA’s standard trail/cross-country range includes various top-end lightweight SL-K and lower-budget stems, their Gravity Light brand stems should hit the spot for a lot more riders. They’re aimed at the harder hitting market, but are light enough to appeal to average trail riders.

This durable anodised 2014 aluminium offering, 3D forged with CNC machined surfaces, tips the scales at around the same point as a more costly SL-K unit we’ve been testing. Clamp height on the steerer is 40mm, with 50mm of width on the bars. If you want a longer stem, check out FSA’s SL-K range.
