Our review
Control-boosting bar with a firm feel that provides plenty of feedback from the trail

Burgtec was one of the first brands to make really wide bars with its RideWide and RideWider alloy pipes. While other manufactuers have now caught up in terms of width, the 760mm RideWide carbon is still a usefully control-boosting bar.

It’s a lot lighter than its alloy equivalent and it’s competitively priced for carbon too.

As you’d expect from a primarily downhill orientated brand, feel is on the firm rather than flexy side to give plenty of feedback from the floor.

The limited rise and upsweep amplifies the aggressive feel too, making this a proper hunting bar.

The low hand height makes it particularly suitable for dropping the control position on big-wheeled or long-forked bikes and it’s easily light enough for trail use.
