Impressively stiff with a lifetime warranty. Classic all-rounders

RaceFace’s old Turbines were classic all-rounders and this new tough, versatile set seems to follow suit. They’ve stuck with forged and externally machined construction rather than going for a hollow forged arm, and the axle is attached to the offside rather than driveside arm. They fit more smoothly than old Turbines and are impressively stiff when you’re stamping or searching for traction feedback.

They’re covered by a lifetime warranty and the Turbine bottom bracket has a titanium coating and new seals for extended life too. The laser-etched hard anodised double rings look great, last well and shift smoothly but do use a unique 120/80mm bolt circle diameter (BCD). There are triple or double bash options with a standard 104mm BCD too, and a titanium-axled SL model, but neither are cheap.
