The Superstar guide may be light on the wallet but after extended use, it’s still going strong. The top cage can be set at two angles and the whole thing is adjustable for 32- to 38-tooth chainrings – a biggest adjustment range than most of the competition.
All the parts are available as spares at reasonable prices, but that said, we’ve not damaged anything yet. It’s not the quietest guide, but it’s not loud by any means. It would be great if the Plasma had some kind of chainring protection – damaging the guide is less expensive than damaging the chainset!
