Magura’s basic race fork is a seriously light and stiff performer that dips under the magic 1,500g mark. The full-size 32mm stanchions and double fore and aft wheelhugger braces mean there’s no compromise in steering or braking stiffness.
Add a tight suspension stroke and the Race feels accurate and responsive whether you're cornering hard or cross threading ruts. It’ll even take a 210mm brake rotor.
The air pressure needs setting up carefully to get adequate small bump response without blowing through its travel, but compression control is much better than on last year’s model.
The DLO+ lockout gives a few millimetres of movement to help traction, which is a bonus on steep, turning climbs or flat corners. Mud room is better than it looks, and a clip for the brakes and a guide noodle for the lockout cable keep things tidy.
