Our review
Small, curvy shape that performs well

Pros:

Secure fit, decent protection

Cons:

Might not suit larger faces, styling not for everyone

Northwave’s Team sunglasses have been around for a while now and their distinct opal shaped lenses remain, which are held in place by a single spar design frame that’s got a lot of spring tension built into the locking arms.

The full length of the arms is coated in tacky rubber grippers, so these stay in place with absolute solidity.

The lenses' light reactivity is slower than other glasses, such as Giant's Apus, but still changes from clear to a mid-dark grey smoke in around a minute.

The 39mm deep lenses make these shades best suited to small faces, and they do offer decent protection because the lens wrap makes them quite close fitting.

Fogging only occurred a little and only at the brow above the nosepiece and was never obtrusive into my line of sight.

With the current trend for big-shield lens designs and back-to-the-eighties styling cues, the Northwave Team's curvy shape is slightly out of favour, but that doesn’t stop them from working well.
