These shorts are designed to make wet days on the trails more comfortable. The cut is slightly longer in the leg to keep you dry but a baggier sizing means you can get a touch of the dreaded rubbing/swishy noise. Try before you buy to make sure the roomier accommodation and higher waist is to your liking.
The DWR coating does a good job of repelling moisture and the stretchy crotch material allows for a good range of movement, although when really wet can feel a bit sodden. We’d forgo stretchiness in favour of more water resistance. Mesh venting and a security pocket are nice touches though.
A good option for showery spring riding that won’t leave you over-heating if the sun pokes its head out.
