Shimano have pledged £750,000 to victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on 11 March.

They’ve also donated £225,000 in winter clothing to support those affected by the disaster, which devastated large parts of Japan's north eastern coastline.

Based several hundred miles away from the earthquake’s epicentre, Shimano’s headquarters near Osaka were unaffected but the money pledged is a show of solidarity from Japanese manufacturer.
