Small Italian manufacturer, Scapin, return to the US via the Canadian distributor Stage-Race Distribution. The manufacturer’s bikes were previously imported to the US by KHS.

Scapin offers a full range of road racing and mountain frames, as well as complete bikes. The range includes carbon fiber and steel, along with what they dub ‘mixed solutions’ (carbon/steel tubes) and hydro-formed aluminum, which is used for Scapin’s most economical models.

Keeping with the times, Scapin offers an array of contemporary features for their bikes, including: an s-shaped proprietary integrated seat post (ISP) clamp, CFS, which refers to the brand's 'comfort-flex seat-stay system,' wing-shaped single-rivet-point cable bosses, use of press-fit carbon bottom brackets, and tapered head tubes. Scapin’s steel and high-end carbon fiber frames are produced in Italy, with custom geometries available for many models.

Stage-Race Distribution is currently compiling a band of bike shops in the US and Canada to stock Scapin models and will play a part in the development of future Scapin models by way of testing and their expertise within the North American market, said the distributor via their press release.

Stage-Race currently has the complete line of Scapin bikes on display in their North American showroom, located in Toronto, ON — from the hand-made Fazer to the monocoque-carbon Hysak and the new Columbus Spirit tubed Blato 29er.
