Belgian company Ridley have given a fleet of their featherweight Helium SL frames a special paint job and decked them out in Campagnolo 80th birthday Super Record groupsets. The project celebrates 80 years of Campy, who marked the milestone at a party last week.
We reckon the result of this Belgo-Italian partenership is a great-looking road bike. The Helium SL is the lightweight frame used by WorldTour team Lotto-Belisol when the roads head into the hills and mountains.
A run of just 80 have been given the special black-and-red paint job, and one of the builds can be yours for a cool €8,999 – about £7,600.
“Such a unique groupset deserves a bike which not only matches its technological qualities, but also its outstanding design,” said Jochen Bessemans, PR and marketing manager at Ridley Bikes.
Ridley have a habit of playing with their Helium SL frame. In February they built one weighing 5.5kg (12.1lb).
